Ethical Guidelines

At International Journal of Transdisciplinary Research and Perspectives, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical integrity in scholarly publishing. These guidelines outline the responsibilities of all participants in the publication process — including authors, reviewers, and editors — to ensure a transparent, fair, and responsible scholarly environment.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must submit original work. Plagiarism in any form — including self-plagiarism — is strictly prohibited.
  • Data Accuracy and Integrity: Authors must ensure that all data used in their research is accurate, honestly obtained, and properly represented.
  • Authorship: All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research. Guest, honorary, or ghost authorship is not permitted.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence their work.
  • Multiple Submissions: Manuscripts must not be submitted to more than one journal at the same time.
  • Corrections and Retractions: Authors must promptly inform the journal if they discover significant errors in their published work.

2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use the information for personal gain.
  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with constructive criticism and without personal bias.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers should complete reviews within the agreed timeframe or inform the editor if a delay is unavoidable.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts: Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest that could affect their objectivity and recuse themselves if necessary.

3. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Fair Evaluation: Editors must evaluate manuscripts based solely on academic merit, regardless of authors’ race, gender, affiliation, or personal beliefs.
  • Confidentiality: Editors must protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.
  • Editorial Independence: Editorial decisions must not be influenced by commercial interests or external pressure.
  • Handling Misconduct: Editors are responsible for investigating allegations of ethical misconduct and taking appropriate action, including issuing corrections or retractions if needed.

4. Research Ethics

  • Human and Animal Subjects: Research involving human or animal participants must follow relevant ethical standards and must have received appropriate institutional approval.
  • Informed Consent: Authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained for studies involving human subjects or identifiable personal data.

5. Publication Ethics

This journal follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We encourage all parties to familiarize themselves with COPE’s principles and to report any unethical behavior or concerns related to submitted or published works.
